ABOUT US
We cook chef-inspired Chinese food exactly the way it should be: using the traditional power of the WOK. Our ingredients are fresh. Throughout the 90s, ManchuWOK was made more accessible to fans of Asian cuisine by gaining greater exposure in non-traditional markets, like Universities and Airports. By 2004, the chain made its mark overseas by bringing the ManchuWOK brand to Guam, Japan and most recently Dubai.
We are currently looking for someone to join our team as Chef who will have responsibility for the following:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare authentic Chinese dishes including stir-fries, noodles, soups, and dim sum with precision and consistency.
· Expertly marinate, season, and tenderize meats and seafood to enhance flavors and textures in dishes.
· Employ traditional Chinese cooking techniques such as steaming, braising, and roasting to create rich and complex flavors in signature dishes.
· Source high-quality ingredients and maintain inventory levels to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
· Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques, portion control, and presentation standards.
· Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of perishable items.
· Monitor kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
· Uphold standards of excellence in food quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
· Conduct regular taste tests and recipe evaluations to ensure dishes meet quality standards and customer expectations.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper maintenance of cooking equipment and utensils, to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma is required
2. One year work experience as a chef or cook is preferred
3. Self-motivated and keen to learn new skills
4. In-depth knowledge of food safety requirements for restaurants
5. Excellent communication and time management skills
6. Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
TERMS
1. Salary is $21.50/Hour
2. Working hours per week is 40
3. Permanent full-time
