Job Description

Employment Details:

• Work Location: Nepean, K2E 7R9
• Work Hours: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
• Terms of Employment: Full time, permanent, 30 hours/week
• Wage: $18.50/hour
• Language of work: English

Job Duties:

• Provide care for three young children, 2, 5 and 8 years old, at the employer’s home in Nepean.
• Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Bathe, dress and feed children.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Supervise and care for children
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Tend to emotional well-being of children
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties

Employment Requirements:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
• Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
• Work site environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
