NINA DOVER is seeking a qualified and experienced Home Support Worker to provide care and assistance to an elderly client in a home setting.

Position Details

Position: HOME SUPPORT WORKER
Number of Vacancies: 1
Job Type: Full-time, Term or Contract
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 30 hours per week
Work Schedule: Early morning, evening, flexible hours, morning, night, day, weekend, and overtime available
Language of Work: English
Wage: $22.50 per hour
Overtime: Overtime available and paid in accordance with applicable employment standards
Vacation: In accordance with applicable employment standards

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Administering bedside and personal care
Administering medications
Assisting the client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Feeding or assisting with feeding
Laundering clothing and household linens
Mending clothing and linens
Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Providing companionship
Providing personal care
Preparing and serving nutritious meals
Cooking
Job Requirements

Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:
2 years to less than 3 years of experience

Language:
English

Work Setting
Work must be completed on site at the physical location.

The position involves providing support to an elderly client.
Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to handle weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
