Looking for Child caregiver – private home position

Job Position: Child Caregiver – Private home, Full time, Permanent

Job Location: 48-1207 Confederation Dr, Port Coquitlam, BCV3C 6B8

Wage Rate and working hours: $19.00 per hour and 30 hours per week

Main Duties

– Full responsibility for the household when parents are away

– Care for children in a safe home environment

– Follow parents’ guidelines for disciplining children

– Plan and engage the child in fun and educational activities

– Accompany the child to indoor and outdoor activities when required

– Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

– Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks and perform light housekeeping

– Drop off and pick up children from school and activities

Qualifications:

– 6 month experience in child care OR Completion of a training program in child care

– High school completion or higher

– Able to communicate in English

– First Aid Certificate

– Able to drive children to and from activities
