Overview:

Western Pizza Downtown is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting overall kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

·       Determine the size of food portions and costs

·       Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization

·       Requisition food and kitchen supplies

·       Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

·       Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

·       Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

·       Order supplies and equipment

·       Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·       Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·       Clean kitchen and work areas

Qualifications:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a cook

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

• Attention to detail, organized, reliable, and a team player

Language: English

Work Conditions:

• On-site work only (no remote work option)

• Physically demanding with standing for extended periods

• May involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
