Job Description
About the Position
The Chu’s family in Richmond, BC, is seeking a dedicated and organized Home Child Care Provider to care for their two children, aged 6 and 8 years old. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and safe environment while managing the children’s daily needs and activities.
Work Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
Supervise and care for two school-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist the children with personal hygiene routines and social development.
Organize engaging activities, such as games, crafts, and outdoor outings, to support their learning and recreation.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals, tailored to the children’s dietary requirements.
Escort the children to and from school, appointments, or extracurricular activities.
Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, ironing, and maintaining tidy living spaces.
Shop for groceries and household supplies as needed.
Travel with the family during trips, assisting with child supervision and related tasks.
Adhere to parental preferences for child discipline and behavior guidance.
Maintain daily records of the children’s activities, health updates, and progress.
Work Environment
Work is completed in the employer’s home, a non-smoking environment.
Qualifications
A secondary school graduation certificate is required.
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate is an asset.
Flexibility, strong time management, organizational skills, and initiative are essential.
Must pass a criminal record check and medical examination.
Additional Information
Applicants must have a valid Canadian work permit or be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
