Job Description
GOLDWOOD INDUSTRIES LTD is looking for 3 full-time and permanent Millwrights at 12691 MITCHELL ROAD, Richmond, BC, V6V 1M7.(Even though this is full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is 45.38/hr and 40 hours/week.
Main Duties:
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Requirement:
Completion of secondary school and training courses/ or a vocational program is usually required. At least 3-5 years of work experience in millwrighting is usually required. Industrial mechanic (millwright) trade certification is available, but voluntary, in all provinces and territories.
