Job Description

Rosetown ESSO & Big Farmers at 200 Hwy 4 North, Rosetown, Saskatchewan S0L 2V0, Canada seeks to hire Two permanent and full-time cooks. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.

Position: Cook
Vacancies: Two (2)
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Working hours: 30-40 hours per week
Benefit: 5.77% of vacation pay, tips and meals at work
Job Duties

Prepare and cook meals such as burgers, fries, salads, sandwiches, etc.
Handle special order requests and meal preparation for customers with allergies
Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
Follow proper recipes and be responsible for reflecting customers’ feedback
Plan and create new menus and prepare various sauces
Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portions and estimate food requirements, costs
Supervise and train kitchen helpers with respect to food preparation and oversee kitchen operations
Monitor, maintain food inventory, supplies and equipment and order them when needed
Clean kitchen, work areas and abide by safety and hygiene rule.
Ability to work shifts (morning, day, evening and/or weekends)

Skills:

Proven experience as cook
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a team
Excellent physical condition and stamina
Requirements:

Completion of secondary school
Min. 1 year of experience as a cook in a commercial restaurant (or) Completion of an apprenticeship program for cooks (or) Completion of college or other program in cooking is required
