Responsibilities
Tasks
Collect blood, tissue or other samples from patients
Document observations on patients’ specimens
Examine the results of the tests
Log patient samples and prepare them for testing
Set up medical laboratory equipment
Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment
Collect tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings
Discard specimens according to established safety procedures
