Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $17.00 per hour (35–40 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Schedule: Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekend, Flexible shifts
Work Setting: Restaurant / Bar (On-site only)

About the Role

Cathedral Social Hall is looking for a motivated and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Determine the size of food portions and costs
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Order supplies and equipment
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Manage kitchen operations
Requirements

Secondary school graduation certificate
1–2 years cooking experience required
Safe Food Handling Certificate required
Experience with Canadian and/or international cuisine preferred
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be organized, reliable, and a team player
Criminal record check required
