DRYWALL INSTALLER (NOC 73102)
Heatseal Insulation Services Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Drywall Installer (NOC 73102) to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Position: Drywall Installer (NOC 73102)
Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Wage: $33.60 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Duties
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
• Apply successive coats of joint compound and sand seams and joints
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks using trowels and broad knives
• Tape over joints using taping machines and embed tape in compound
• Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
• Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
• Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
• Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring using hand and power tools
Requirements
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Conditions
• On-site work only
• Day, Morning, Evening, and Weekend shifts may be required
• Criminal record check may be required
