Job Description
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily work activities of moving van drivers and moving crews.
Assign routes, delivery schedules, and job priorities based on operational needs, customer requirements, and timelines.
Monitor driver performance to ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.
Ensure drivers adhere to federal, provincial, and municipal transportation laws, including hours of service, vehicle safety, and load-securement requirements.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and roadworthy.
Train new drivers and moving staff on safe driving practices, proper handling and loading of goods, customer service standards, and workplace safety procedures.
Investigate and resolve operational issues, delays, accidents, or customer complaints, and implement corrective actions where required.
Maintain accurate records related to driver schedules, vehicle usage, inspections, incident reports, and regulatory compliance.
