Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy retail environment, processing tasks efficiently, and maintaining a positive attitude with customers and team members.

Your duties will include:

• Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers
• Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
• Authorize payments and the return of merchandise
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff and monitor and report on performance
• Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised
• May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of previous retail or cashier experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage: $35.00

Overtime pay: $52.50/hour for hours worked beyond 40 per week.

Vacation pay: 2 weeks/ year or 4% as per provincial standards; 4% of gross earnings; 3 weeks paid vacation annually after one year of employment
