Job Duties:
• Load necessary asphalt job material which ranges from 50-80 pounds from shop garage to work truck.
• Supplied rides by C & R Roofing from shop to job site daily.
• Once arrived at the designated job site must lay out tarps in order to protect the client’s property fromgetting damaged.
• Set up ladder in order to proceed removing old existing asphalt shingle from roof into dump trailer inneat clean order.
• Inspect current roof plywood condition for any rotten then proceed to replace with new plywood usingpower tools.
• Unload Boom truck with pallet of bundles of shingles 80 pounds per bundle on to roof as instructed byforeman.
• Pass new asphalt shingles to experienced employees in order to complete the new asphalt shinglesinstallation efficiently.
• Clean client’s property from any roofing debris into dump trailer supplied by C & R Roofing.
• May perform snow removal in winter.
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
Skills Required:
• Must not be afraid of heights (due to working on a roof/heights daily)
• Must be a team player.
• Must be able to follow the instructions from foreman.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must be physical fit due to job being labour intensive.
• Must be able to work long hours in heat & sub weather conditions.
• Must have knowledge of using power tools.
• Must be able to attend the Working at Heigh Training (mandatory)
• Will be working with: Tool Belt, Utility knife, roofing hammer, chalk line, measuring tape, Steel toe shoes (boots), CSA Approved Lifeline & Harness.
Experience Required:
• Experience is an asset, training will be provided
Education Required:
• No formal education requirements.
Wage & Hours: $25.00 / hour
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: After 44 Hours Per Week
• Shift rotation (as applicable): Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm; possible work on weekends.
