Job Description

Pine Tree Woodworks Ltd. located in Surrey BC is one of the Cabinet Manufacturing and installation companies and is well known for its quality customized woodwork.
We are currently looking for a Skilled, Reliable and Dedicated Permanent Full-Time Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate must be reliable, self-motivated, and a team player.

Number of Position(s): 1
Location: Surrey, BC
Pay Scale: $31.50 per hour
Number of Hours: 40 hours per Week
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Language Requirement: English
Experience: 2 years and more
Education: High School (Grade 12)

Job Task(s):

·         Read and interpret drawings, sketches and blueprints to determine specifications and calculate requirements

·         Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join material made of wood, and/or wood substitutes

·         Build, fit, and install doors, trims, moldings and hardware etc.

·         Prepare layouts using measuring tools

·         Inspect end product to ensure accuracy and conduct repairs if needed

·         Instruct, direct, and supervise other workers to finish the assignments in time sensitive manner

·         Follow safety procedures and ensure work areas are safe and clean

·         Estimate costs and materials required for the work assignments

Personal Attribute(s):

·         Organised, Reliable, dedicated, Time Management

·         Physically fit with good eye-hand coordination, ability to work in confined, dusty, and noisy spaces

·         Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)

·         Ability to read technical documents and drawings

·         Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

·         Good knowledge of English, and a good understanding of basic math

·         Ability to lift heavy materials, bending, crouching, and standing for long periods.

·         Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
