PUNJAB MILK FOODS INC. is looking to hire COOKS- Sweet Makers for their dairy-based foods & Sweets manufacturing business. The applicant should have adequate experience and should be able to prepare and cook company products following all procedures and recipes.

Position: COOK – SWEET MAKER

Anticipated start date: As Soon As Possible

Location: 6308 – 146th Street, Surrey. BC

Wage Rate: $22.50/hour for 37.5 hours a week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Experience: 1-2 years of sweet/mithai making

Education – High School

Schedule: 8 hours rotational shift

Job Description:

·         Prepare and cool complete mass batches of individual Indian sweets/confectionary

·         Inspect Kitchens and Production area

·         Preparing, measuring, and mixing ingredients based on recipes needs

·         Collaborating with co-workers, line operators, machine operators, Production Helpers and supervisors to operate, monitor and complete the packaging process within a reasonable time

·         Train staff in Production process

·         Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·         Suggest management for a new product or improvisation of a regular product

·         Work closely with our Research & development team to develop new products

·         Responsible to ensure that the production team is following all Health & Safety protocols

·         Visually inspecting and manually checking products during production and removing defective material if any

Qualifications:

·         Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset

·         Minimum 1-2 years of sweets/mithai making experience

·         Basic ability to read, write and speak English

·         Must be flexible to work in any shift (early morning/morning and closing shifts)

·         Basic knowledge of chemical handling procedures with the required PPE

·         Ability to work with heavy machinery

·         Ability to lift to 50lbs
