Job position: Dump truck driver (NOC 73300)

Vacancies: 2

Temporary employment, full-time, 30 hours per week, Flexible Hours;

Hourly wage: $27.50-$29.50

Various work locations in Lower Mainland

Relocation costs covered by employer

Starts as soon as possible

 

Job description

·         Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed

·         Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

·         Drive lighter, special purpose trucks

·         Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

·         Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

·         Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

·         Receive and relay information to central dispatch

·         Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

·         Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

 

Job requirement

·         English Language

·         Completion of high school

·         1 year related work experience, Valid driver’s licence
