Job Description

PUNJAB MILK FOODS INC. is looking to hire 4 Production Helpers to process and package food of their dairy-based foods & Sweets manufacturing business. The applicant will be required to receive training for 2 weeks period after which shall be able to work independently under supervision.

Position: Production Helper

Vacancies: 4

Anticipated start date: As Soon As Possible

Location: 6308 – 146th Street, Surrey. BC

Wage Rate: $19.40/hour for 37.5 hours a week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Education: Secondary School

Experience: On Job Training will be provided

Schedule – 8 hours rotational shift

Job Description:

·    Move raw material, containers, packaging material, finished product and boxes in the manufacturing plant and warehouse manually or using equipment

·    Assist team leads, machine operators and supervisors in loading machines.

·    Unload finished product from the food processing machines

·    Manually packing product into bags and boxes or other containers.

·    Assist Cooks and machine operators in performing their duties.

·    Cleaning work area and equipment

·    Adheres to the Quality Assurance Policy

·    Check packaging material for any quality defect

·    Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements

·    Perform in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

·    Previous experience in a food-manufacturing environment is an asset

·    Must be flexible to work in any shift (early morning, morning and closing shifts)

·    Work involves heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
