Job Description:
Operators will be responsible for ensuring that dispatched deliveries are completed on time and in a safe and efficient manner. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate paperwork is completed and returned to the office, as well as maintaining truck maintenance.
Responsibilities:
· Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
· Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo
· Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
· Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
· Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
· Perform preventive maintenance
· Receive and relay information to central dispatch
· Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
· Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
· Load and unload goods with the high up cranes
· Perform brake adjustments

40 hours per week / 8 hours per hour

· Air Brakes Endorsement
· Driver’s License (Class 1 or A or equivalent)
· Boom Truck Crane Operator Trade Certification
· Mobile Crane Operator Trade Certification
