Job Description

AMS Transportation Services Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our growing team! Based in Surrey, BC, this full-time, permanent role involves regional and national routes and is ideal for drivers with 1–2 years of experience and a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence.

Job Details
Salary: $46.88 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Unit B8 – 9275 194 St, Surrey, BC, V4N 4G1

Work Setting: On the road (frequent/constant travel required)

Responsibilities
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks
Load/unload goods and ensure secure tarping
Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance
Record cargo, fuel usage, distance traveled, and hours of service
Communicate with dispatch via CB radio and GPS
Address customer concerns with professionalism

Requirements
Language: English
Education: No formal education required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Licence: Valid Class 1/1F/A Licence
Equipment Experience:

Straight trucks (10,000 lbs+ with 3+ axles)
CB radio, GPS & navigation systems
Travel: Local, short-haul, regional, and national

Physical & Personal Attributes
Physically capable of handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Comfortable with long hours sitting and heavy workloads
Detail-oriented, reliable, and hardworking
Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills
