Type of Position: Permanent, full time

Job Duties:
Working in hotel maintenance, you are responsible for keeping the hotel maintained and fixing any errors that are needed. This can include:
• repairing holes in walls;
• changing settings on cooling and heating equipment;
• putting new light bulbs in the hotel’s outdoor lamps;
• putting in new flooring in guest rooms;
• performing general cleaning tasks inside and outside the hotel’s building.

Other hotel maintenance duties and responsibilities include:
• repainting walls;
• fixing broken furniture;
• fixing minor electrical issues;
• making faucets stop leaking;
• may also take care of feeding our wildlife and sometimes being the guide for our public wilderness tour;
• other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:
• You can expect physically demanding work that includes using tools and equipment and moving around much of the day, including having to climb ladders, lift heavy items and crawl in tight spaces when necessary.

Experience Required:
• Experience is an asset

Education Required:
• A high school diploma

Wage & Hours: $30/h
• Number of hours per day: 8
• Number of days per week: 5
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 44
• Shift rotation (as applicable): some on-call work may be required on weekends in case of breakdowns.
