Cafe Manager

Job Description

Ninetails Coffee Bar is a Japanese style café and patisserie. We are currently looking for a qualified person for a permanent and full-time Cafe Manager position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a coffee shop and its services

– Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

– Recruit staff and oversee staff training

– Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance

– Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices

– Opening and Closing of Cafe

– Cash outs and cash handling

– Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed

– Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

Education, Skills, Experiences and other qualifications:

– Completion of a secondary school

– Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is an asset

– Must have a minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required

– Experience in a Japanese style café is a strong asset

– Good interpersonal skill

– Work well as part of a team

Language:

– Communication skills in English

Compensation and Benefit: $22.00/hour + tips/ gratuities, and free drinks, 50% discounted food (free food if any left-over), 4% vacation pay
