Blitz Corp, operating as 13399796 Canada Inc. operating as Blitz Corp is looking for a Floor Covering Installer to join our team.

Job start date: As soon as possible

Wage: $20 – $34.5/ Hour

Hours: 35 Hours / Week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time

Employment conditions: On call, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening shift, Weekend, Night

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1-7 months experience

Work Site Environment: Indoors & Outdoors

Special categories: Residential

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Public transportation is available

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Steel-toed shoes

Specific Skills: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered

Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding

Prepare flooring plans and scheduling

Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors

Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings

Prepare and install hardwood floors

Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings

Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations

Estimate costs and materials

Prepare floors for installations

Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants

Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces

Install outdoor carpets

Install resilient stair components (special effects for the visually impaired)

Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms

Install vinyl decking materials

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Location: Toronto, M6E 3Y4 will be the office address.
