Food Service Supervisor

Location:             Scarborough, ON M1H 2A3

Salary:                  28.50 hourly / 35 hours per Week

Type:                     Permanent employment/Full time

Shift:                     Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, Weekend

Joining:                Starts as soon as possible

Position:              1 vacancy

Languages:         English

Education:          College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Experience:        2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities

Tasks:

·         Establish methods to meet work schedules

·         Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

·         Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

·         Estimate and order ingredients and supplies

·         Hire food service staff

·         Ensure food service and quality control

·         Prepare budget and cost estimates

·         Address customers’ complaints or concerns

·         Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

·         Prepare and submit reports

·         Establish work schedules

Supervision

·         5-10 people

·         Food service counter attendants and food preparers
