Job Description

Position: Home Support Worker (NOC: 44101)

 

Accommodation: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.

NOTE: This is not a condition of employment

 

Terms of Employment:    Evening, Day

 

Salary:   $21.00/hr.; 32 hours per week

 

Anticipated Start Date(at the latest in 3 months):   As soon as possible

Education:   Other trades certificate or diploma

 

Experience:   1 to less than 7 months

 

Languages:   English

 

Client’s Age:  Elderly

 

Work Setting:   Work in employer’s/client’s home

First Aid Certificate

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Administer bedside and personal care

Administer medications

Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene

Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk

Feed or assist in feeding

Plan therapeutic diets and menus

Provide companionship

Provide personal care

Shop for food and household supplies

Prepare and serve nutritious meals

 

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

 

Work Location Information:   Main intersection is Sheppard Ave E and Meadowvale Road Scarborough, ON
