Job Description
We are currently looking for a unique individual to fill our “Assistant Manager, Restaurant” position at our restaurant, Rudy Resto The Queensway.
Rudy Resto The Queensway is our restaurant located in Etobicoke and specializing in smash burgers, delectable sandwiches, poutines and more. We offer in house dining, and takeout services for our customers.
We are looking for a passionate individual to join our Rudy team! The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in English with excellent oral communication skills and have a minimum of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. We are also looking for a candidate who has minimum of one (1) year to less than two (2) years’ experience in a related position.
As an Assistant Manager, Restaurant, the candidate will have many different tasks and responsibilities. the tasks include, Analyzing budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits, develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies and evaluate daily operations. The candidate will have to modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget and plan and organize daily operations. You will be tasked with monitoring revenues to determine labour cost and monitor staff performance, along with recruiting, supervising, training and setting staff work schedules. You must determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures, conduct performance reviews and cost products and services. You will be tsked to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, organize and maintain inventory and ensure health and safety regulations are followed. You will also negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, participate in marketing plans and implementation and address customers complains or concerns.
As an Assistant Manager, Restaurant you will have to work at the physical location, as there is no option to work remotely for this position. You also will have a budgetary responsibility of 0 – $100,000.00. This job requires supervision of 5-10 people at a time.
Work conditions and physical capabilities include working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will have to work under pressure and pay close attention to detail. There will be a combination of sitting, standing and walking.
You must have experience and specialization with computer and technology knowledge. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Microsoft excel, office and word as well as a point-of-sale system.
We are looking for a candidate who is accurate and extremely client focused. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication and efficient interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be an organized, and reliable team player who has the ability to multitask and have flexibility.
