Zara’s Pasta Nest Ltd. o/a Zara’s Deli is excited to expand our team with Food Service Supervisors. With 30 years of family-owned and operated experience, Zara’s Deli offers a colourful range of fresh pastas, sauces, olives, assorted antipasti, and other authentic Italian food offerings.

Position Available: Food Service Supervisors
Type of Position: Permanent, Full-time, Shifts, Weekends
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Job Location and Business Address: #128 – 1689 Johnston Street (Granville Island Public Market), Vancouver, BC V6H 3R9

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Prior experience in food preparation or service is required
  • Good English language skills
  • Completion of secondary school

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling food counter attendants’ activities
  • Delegating tasks and duties to workers
  • Estimating and ordering ingredients and supplies
  • Training new employees
  • Preparing work schedules
  • Ensuring food and service meet quality control standards and safety procedures
  • Maintaining records of stock for inventory control
  • Resolving customer complaints
  • Ensuring staff maintains a courteous attitude toward customers
  • Assisting with food counter attendant duties as needed
