Job Description
Tara B Hair Salon is currently looking for a permanent and full-time Hair Salon Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the hairdressing salon operations
Establish or implement policies and procedures for hairdressing salon staff
Plan and control budget and inventory
Respond to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems
Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies
Hire, train and supervise staff
Train and educate salon staff on Japanese hairstyling and hairdressing technique, for example but not limited to, Japanese straightening, Digital perm, Chemical theory behind it, and etc.
Maintain and order supplies/hair products from Japan
Education, Skills and Experiences:
A college diploma or vocational certificate – hairstyling, hairdressing or related field
Two or more years of experience as a hairstylist or hairdresser
Up-to-date knowledge of Japanese hair style trend and technique is strong asset
Language:
English communication skills
Compensation:
$34.70 hour + tips and bonus (based on performance), 4% vacation pay
