Job Description
We are seeking a talented Student Recruiter (post-secondary education) to join our dynamic team. As a Student Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in connecting prospective international students from Latin America with prestigious educational institutions in Australia and Canada. If you have a Bachelor’s in Business or even better a Master’s Degree in Administration, along with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience, and you are located in British Columbia, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
locating and recruiting domestic and international students to language, vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programs and all of the different services that WME provides;
providing career counseling, planning, and advisory services to potential Students to find the right academic program for them that helps them achieve their goals, including advising international students on all the options they have to study in Canada, Spain, Australia and any other market serviced by WME;
participating and assisting in the Student’s experience, including accompanying and supporting them throughout their studies to generate retention and potential renewal;
visiting and participating in training of educational and different providers of WME to learn more about their products and services;
developing and maintaining a network of relationships with the different Providers
assisting in the development of new recruitment channels to grow Student enrolments through events, promotions and enquiry management;
assisting in the coordination and execution of an enquiry management framework, including data capture to the CRM system and deploying accurate communications in response across the frontline through events, online promotions, walk-ins, emails and phone enquiries;
understanding and assessing characteristics of all the services offered by WME for promotion within the Latin-American and European international student market;
developing promotion strategies to attract more Students and Providers, including advertising campaigns for WME’s social media, and sales, communications and marketing strategies;
developing and pitching activities in order to promote the WME’s services and generate integration among the Student community, as part of the after-sales service;
conducting market research surveys within potential Students to evaluate their product/services preferences;
preparing and conducting webinars focusing on promoting WME’s services;
developing and organizing activities and initiatives in order to promote WME’s services and integrate the Student community at destination (ex: organize workshops, meetings, and other events aligning with Student’s interests);
coordinating educational training with Providers in order to increase awareness within the Student community;
coordinating special publicity events and promotions in conjunction with Providers for the promotion of both companies’ services;
contributing to WME’s newsletters and company blog;
preparing sales and marketing reports and reporting on results and performance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in business administration
Minimum 5 years of Sales Experience
Knowledge of the international education industry
Market Expertise: The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of both Australian and Canadian markets but also deep understanding and experience with the Latin American local market in the educational industry.
Bilingual Proficiency: fluent in both English and Spanish
Adaptability to change
Exceptional problem solving skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Assets:
Familiarity with Latin American cultures and educational backgrounds
Prior experience in student recruitment or admissions is a plus.
Natural understanding and cultural sensitivity to the Latin American market
Being proficient in English. This language proficiency is a significant asset in communicating with students and parents in Latin America while also effectively liaising with educational institutions in English-speaking Canada and Australia.
Deep understanding of Canadian and Australian regulations, including student visa requirements, accreditation processes, and enrollment procedures.
Salary: CAD$34.62 per hour – full-time basis (30) hours per week.
