We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Marble Setter to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

·      Create desired edges on countertops (¼” Radius, Bullnose, Chamfers, and Ogee edges) using handheld power tools such as a polisher

·      Produce templates (wood representations of the countertop)

·      Lift countertops off the truck, carry the pieces into the customer’s home, place them, and seal them

·      Apply grout, caulking, and glue as needed to set tiles in position and apply pressure to affix tiles to base

·      Fill joints between tiles with grout and clean off any excess material

·      Accurately measure and mark installation surfaces based on templates or blueprints

·      Read blueprints or work order specifications to determine layout and installation procedures

·      Cut, shape, polish, and install marble and granite surfaces to specification and blueprints

·      Prepare base layers and attach support parts such as bolts, wires, and brackets

·      Remove, repair, and replace damaged or cracked tiles as necessary

Employment Requirements

·      Completion of Secondary School

·      At least 3 years of experience installing and fabricating granite and marble countertops

Skills

·      Preference will be given to those who have knowledge of larger machines and be able to run those machines such as bridge saw, a Sasso brand edger, possibly a CNC machine.

·      Able to do heavy lifting (stone countertop pieces).

·      Must have good eye for details and be able to think on their feet.
