Job Description

Envision Painting is currently seeking to hire four (4) Senior Professional Painters for our Victoria, BC–based operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read specifications to determine the quantity of materials required
Prepare and clean surfaces by scraping, sanding, removing old wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes; sand surfaces; and apply sealer, using proper preparation techniques, tools, and equipment
Mix and thin paint to achieve the desired consistency and color
Apply paint or other materials such as stain, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fiberglass, metal coatings, or fire retardant using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, while ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Assemble and erect scaffolding and swing stages, ensuring a safe and productive work environment is maintained at all times throughout the project
Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all stages of each project, with a goal of achieving an average client satisfaction score of 9/10
Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills
Maintain open communication with the Production Manager and Field Supervisor
Mentor, coach, and assign tasks to painters on your crew
Perform other duties as requested
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have at least 3 years of painting experience
Have additional construction experience (e.g., cabinet making/painting, drywall finishing and preparation for painting), which is considered an asset
Have completed a professional painting course (preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of formal training)
Have strong attention to detail
Be able to distinguish between colors
Possess good hand–eye coordination
Be physically fit and able to kneel, bend, and crouch, as this role can be physically demanding
Be able to communicate effectively in English
We Offer:
Hourly wage of $36.60
30 hours per week
Monday to Friday schedule (occasional longer hours, evening, or weekend work may be required)
Weekly pay
Two (2) weeks of vacation after one year of employment

Due to specific weather conditions in the region, extended work suspensions may occasionally occur.
