Job Description
Dog Trainer and Handler
MSAR is looking to hire obedience, rehabilitation and service dog trainers. We are trainers who assist with general obedience training of service and working dogs, service dog training, working dogs training for police, military and contracts.
Training provided: working with service and working dogs, working and learning to manage kennel operations, raise, train and place service and working dogs, be a representative for MSAR at local, national and international activities and projects, assist with project management related to MSAR dog programs, travelling within Canada and internationally to deliver, pickup or assist with service and working dog training or placement criteria. Additional Training provided, including but not limited to our Accredited Working Dog Course, and international training workshops.
Requirements:
Drivers license, valid passport, criminal background check with vulnerable person background check.
1-2 Years experience caring for, training and handling working dogs for narcotics detection, SAR, police, anti-poaching, search & recovery.
Wage is $23.08 per hour, 35 to 50 hours per week.
