Position: Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC 73300)
Company: Sadhra Roadlink Ltd
Location: Saskatoon, SK (travel required across routes)
Pay: $33.60 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Vacancies: 4
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Employer

Sadhra Roadlink Ltd is a trucking and logistics company based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We provide freight transportation services across Canada and the United States, and currently looking for long haul truck drivers to join our team.

 

Main Duties

·       Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions

·       Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

·       Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

·       Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

·       Perform brake adjustments

·       Perform emergency roadside repairs

·       Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

·       Perform preventive maintenance

·       Receive and relay information to central dispatch

·       Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

·       Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

 

 

Basic Requirements

✔ Education: High school diploma
✔ Experience: 1 month to 7 months driving experience
✔ Language: English
✔ License: AZ Class License (commercial truck driving licence)
✔ Legal status: Must be able to work in Canada

·       Driver logbook- Document Knowledge

·       Criminal record check is required

Work Conditions

Long hours sitting and driving
Travel frequently across routes
May work day, night, weekends, or early mornings
Some physical work (lifting up to 9 kg)
