Job Description

AKK CARGO AND EARTHMOVING LIMITED is looking for 5 positions of Long Haul Truck Driver for their location in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Job Title: Truck Driver, Long Haul
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full-Time Position
Salary: $29.00 per hour

 

Job duties:

Load and unload goods
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Language: English

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate

Class 1 Driver License Required
