Requirements:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Safe Food Handling Certificate
Criminal record check required

Job Duties:
Determine the size of food portions and estimate food requirements and costs
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
Plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and safe food handling
Supervise kitchen helpers and support staff
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Manage day-to-day kitchen operations
